| Kitimat is
situated on the Northwest coast of British Columbia. It's
closest neighbour is Terrace which is 45 minutes away by car. The
Terrace/Kitimat airport is only 35 minutes away from Kitimat and
has several flights in and out of Vancouver, daily.
Kitimat has a
population of about 11,000 people from all over the globe. It's
economic base consists of the Alcan Aluminum Smelter, Eurocan Pulp
& Paper Mill and the Methanex Gas & Ammonia Plant. The
industries have worked hard at having only minor impacts on the
local environment. Kitimat is recognized as a world class, fishing
and outdoor adventure "Hot Spot".
Cablecar subdivision is only an 8 minute drive to Kitimat's city
center. We are only a couple of minutes from the Kitimat River
where you can launch a drift boat or fish from shore. The M.K. Bay
Marina is only 15 minutes away if you are looking for salt water
